"Chasworth Farm soaps and body care products are handcrafted in our Vermont studio. We create premium products that are truly gentle and effective, and send a wallop to all your senses. Beautiful to look at, amazing to smell, pleasurable to use. We want you and your skin feeling cared for and comfortable.
Working in small batches where we retain ultimate quality control, we craft soaps, butters, creams, shampoos, and more out of whole and minimally processed natural and organic ingredients. While most of the information out there is inconclusive about the exact percentage of cosmetic products absorbed by our skin, all the experts agree that enough is absorbed to show up in our bloodstream. We are committed to keeping petroleum products, phthalates, dyes, and parabens out of our products. What you put on your skin matters!
We work hard to be responsible manufacturers by using ingredients that are sustainably sourced (and certified!), watching our energy consumption, and keeping our processes clean and minimal. Our packaging is designed to keep your products fresh and clean while minimizing the impact on our environment. Everything can be recycled or composted, and when available, we use post-consumer waste recycled boxes and papers. We are always looking for greener ways to do things."

Gizmo's Pickled Plus
Gizmos Pickled Plus grows, processes and sells over 44 different kinds of jams, pickles, and relishes. When Verne DuClos lost his job as a tool and die maker 18 years ago, he says, "I went back to what I know… farming. It turns out that it was one of the best things that could ever have happened to me. The produce from my garden becomes the most delicious pickles, jams and relishes you may ever put on your plate."
Some of our recipes such as our Sour Salty Dog (the best beer drinking pickle ever!) and Strawberry Rhubarb Jam have been passed down in my family for generations. Others such as Cowboy Candy (candied, pickled jalapenos) or our Cucumber Lime Jam are new inventions. But no matter your taste, sweet, sour, salty, spicy... Gizmos Pickled Plus has a pickle or jam for you.

“Urban Moonshine was founded in 2008 in Jovial King’s kitchen with the goal of making herbal medicine more accessible. We specialize in liquid herbal extracts with a focus on digestive bitters, herbal tonics, and everyday health remedies.
We have grown from a booth at the local farmers market to a nationally distributed and recognized brand while staying true to our mission of bringing high-quality, certified organic herbal medicine to more people and changing the way we think about the healing power of plants. We aim to return the use of herbal medicine to daily life, to bring it “out of the cupboard and onto the counter”. The next generation of healthcare is focusing on prevention and improving quality of life, moving beyond just disease and illness.
Urban Moonshine’s product line is certified organic and we source our ingredients domestically and from small farms whenever possible. Our formulas are palatable and easy and convenient to use. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the traditional stereotype of the ‘back-woods herbalist’ and bring plant-based wellness to the modern health-conscious individual who is seeking better options.
We are based in beautiful Burlington, VT and are proud to be a woman-run company.”
Born on my parent’s farm in Vermont I am the child of two 1970’s back-to-the landers. My mother milked cows and made yogurt on our kitchen woodstove, delivering mason jars of yogurt for sale to stores and homes. My father fixed fences, turned the grassland to hay each summer and homeschooled his children. Our school year circled around the growing season. Food lay at the center of life. As a child this produced many discomforts. Mandatory chores, mulching, weeding, wood-hauling and putting hay in the barn made childhood more about labor than play. But the upbringing gave me absolute comfort in the kitchen and deep admiration for food craft. I have had the privilege of cooking in the kitchens of Chefs Renee Erickson and Matt Dillon. And after nine years on the west coast, spent in Los Angeles, Whidbey Island, and Seattle, I have returned home with my partner Amy to the farm in New Haven Vermont.
I started V Smiley Preserves in 2013 while working as a line cook in Seattle. V Smiley Preserves are honey sweetened jams and marmalades that emphasize aromatics like scented geranium, yarrow or lemon verbena grown on our family farm. We also grow fruit like currants, gooseberries, rhubarb and tomatoes and additionally source from local and regional growers.
The honey comes from Kirk Webster in New Haven, Vermont. Kirk produces some of the best honey. It is an honor to sweeten and preserve fruit with his honey.
