Jo Marsen got a printmaking BFA and an MBA from Ohio University. They have been drawing and painting since childhood and making art screenprints since 2014. Jo also does graphic design and mural arts. They're invested in making their prints sustainably.
“Tugging on the threads of our shared humanity, I address issues of community, life, transition, process and communication. I am interested in the interconnected web of life. The birds and crows speak for me. Expressing my love of the land, preservation, and sacred earth while thinking about community and the ways we can contribute to the greater good of society.”
MacDonald is a printmaker, living and working in Vermont. Recent exhibitions include: The Drawing Room, Cos Cob, CT; Washington Printmakers Gallery, Silver Springs, MD; Galerie Maison Kasini, Montreal, Quebec; Firehouse Gallery, Burlington, VT. She has been an artist fellow at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, and the Vermont Studio Center. Her work is in many private and corporate collections.
While studying at Middlebury College Daryl discovered printmaking. The creation of hand made multiples appealed to both her artistic and practical sensibilities. After various degrees and professional adventures, she landed in Huntington, Vermont where she now has her studio and can often be found making art in her renovated barn.
Kait carves her original designs out of Shina plywood and prints them using oil based inks on archival printmaking paper. She uses a wooden spoon to press her images from wood block to paper, making her printing process completely by hand.
Katie Babic is an accomplished artist based in Vermont, where she has seamlessly integrated her passion for art and nature throughout her life. After earning a master’s degree in counseling and human development alongside a BA in fine arts and education from St. Lawrence University, she returned to her home state, where she married her high school sweetheart and began her family.
In 2020, Katie embarked on a transformative journey, choosing to dedicate her time to raising her three young children. This pivotal experience allowed her to reconnect with her creative process, leading her to explore a unique technique known as "pulling." This term refers to the artist's practice of creating individual prints, resulting in 'one-of-a-kind' pieces that reflect the natural beauty of Vermont’s native hardwoods.
Through her creative approach, Katie Babic shares a heartfelt connection to her environment, capturing the essence of nature's hidden gems. Her work serves as an invitation to others to appreciate and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us.
