Garlands of Hope 

As we move towards 2026, the Northwood Gallery invites you (yes, you!) to participate in a community art project: Garlands of Hope. 

We welcome you to take a moment to reflect on the future. Draw a picture, quote a song or a poem or a philosopher. Or contribute your own wishes, prayers or meditation to create a collective piece of art and goodwill for the coming year. Your contributions will be added to a growing chain of thoughts and beads which will be constructed and on display at the Northwood Gallery in Stowe, VT.

We strive to shift the current tenor of fear and unrest to one of hope and joy. Now, more than ever, building community and recognizing the comfort we find in one another (and in art) is a priority. Please join us!

No purchase necessary - all are welcome to participate.

Supplies and creation-stations will be available in the gallery starting 11/10/25.

Please use a heavy card stock (think index card weight), no bigger than 3x3 inches. Remember, these words will be visible to others. And if you've got a bead you'd like to add to the garland, we'd be happy to make it part of the piece.
