Brian Hewitt Kind Art

Brian Hewitt is a self-taught oil painter in North Bennington, Vermont. His work is described as vibrant realism with a little twist. Brian began painting in earnest in 2011 when he was "between jobs" as a marketing professional and staying with his aging father to help him through the winter. Well the "between jobs" became the end of a career and the beginning of becoming a full time artist. He often paints with an arc which many refer to as fisheye. "I feel it gives the painting depth and movement but it does add a whole new level of difficulty. People often ask if it 'is how I see things' and I say "no, it is how I would like to see things." Brian also spends a lot of time working on clouds. The vibrant colors and contrast can give the paintings a different feel in different kinds of light. "I often suggest to clients to consider how a painting looks in a different light as the light is constantly changing."
