Chris Zebal - Live at Northwood Gallery 6/20 @6:30pm

We are excited to share that Chris Zebal will be playing live at the gallery Friday, 6/20. His set will kick off around 6:30pm. Come hang out, listen to great music and surround yourself with art and good company.

Chris Zebal, originally from Frederick, MD, is a relatively new face in the Northern Vermont music scene but is quickly making a name for himself as a passionate and creative keyboardist. Cutting his teeth in the Ithaca, NY jam scene in the late 90’s and early 2000’s he’s been performing live music ever since with various bands in the Mid Atlantic and Northeast. He currently plays locally with the Sara Whitehair Band, who are quickly making a name for themselves with their unique flavor of jazz infused funk and soul; as well as holding down the keys chair with “A House On Fire” during wedding season at some of the best venues in Vermont.

His sound is equal parts blues/rock and jazz/funk and he thrives in improvisational settings, where the energy exchange between audience and artist is the driving force for live performances. He began looping his own drum and bass tracks during the pandemic in the absence of live gigs. This has gradually evolved into a new and expressive solo platform incorporating elements of Dub, Reggae, Hip-Hop, and Electronica.
